Day 1: Lima
You are welcomed
by our staff at the airport and transferred to your
hotel. During the ride we will tell you about Lima and
Peru and go through your itinerary day by day. We will
also answer any question you may have.

Day 2: Lima (B)
After breakfast,
a guided tour of colonial and modern Lima which includes
the cathedral built in 1654 where the remains of Francisco
Pizarro rest, the Main Square with a bronze fountain
from 1650 and some unique tree balconies, the San Francisco
monastery with the famous catacombs, and the modern
areas of Miraflores and San Isidro. We end the day with
a visit to the famous Gold Museum, a unique private
collection of amazing gold artifacts from the Inca Empire
and other ancient Peruvian cultures such as Chavin,
Mochica, Nazca, Paracas, etc.

Day 3: Lima -
Cuzco (B)
Transfer to the
airport for the flight to Cuzco. Free morning to relax
and get used to the altitude. In the afternoon a guided
tour of Cuzco and the four famous Inca ruins that are
located in the outskirts of Cuzco; the water temple
Tambo Machay, the fortress Puca Pucara, the Oracle place
Qenqo, and the impressive fortress and temple of Sacsayhuamán.
Three enormous stones, each one weigh 120 tons, form
three perfect zig-zag walls and the view over Cuzco
is wonderful. Then you do a walking tour of central
Cuzco with visits to the Cathedral, Main Square, and
the Sun Temple of Korikancha.

Day 4: Sacred
Valley (B, L)
Today you will do
a full day excursion to Urubamba, the Sacred Valley
of the Incas. You visit the village of Pisac that was
founded during colonial times and is located at the
foot of some impressive Inca ruins. Visit the Pisac
market on the Main Square where the Indians sell their
products and handicrafts. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays
are the busiest days, but the market is always open.
After lunch, visit Ollantaytambo, the only Inca village
that the Spaniards never conquered, and explore the
ruins located above the village. You will spend the
night in Ollantaytambo since you are already half way
to one of the great wonders of the world, Machu Picchu.

Day 5: Ollantaytambo
–Machu Picchu – Cuzco (B)
It is time for the
highlight of the tour, the Forgotten city of the Incas
and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World – Machu
Picchu. You will catch an early train to Aguas Calientes
where you are met by your guide. You then take the bus
up to Machu Picchu for your guided tour (2 hours). After
the tour you will have some free time to explore the
ruins and take more photos. A popular alternative is
to climb the mountain next to Machu Picchu; Huayna Picchu
(2 hours). It is quite tough but if you reach the top
you will have a spectacular view over Machu Picchu and
the surroundings. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 6: Aguas
Calientes – Cuzco (B)
Today you will have
the opportunity to go back to Machu Picchu to enjoy
the sunrise over Machu Picchu and spend time there without
too many other tourists (entrance fee and bus tickets
not included). In the afternoon you take the train back
to Cuzco. You are picked up and transferred to your
hotel.
Day 7: Cuzco
– Lima - Santiago (B, D)
Transfer to the
airport for the flight to Lima and the connecting fight
to Santiago de Chile. Afternoon tour around Santiago,
visiting the city’s most outstanding attractions, including
a walking tour downtown visiting the “Plaza de Armas”,
the Cathedral, Ahumada Boulevard and the Government
Palace “La Moneda”. Then, by vehicle, visit the
main avenues of old Santiago, crossing the bohemian
neighborhood of Bellavista and drive up San Cristobal
Hill, for a magnificent panoramic view of the city and
the Andes Mountain Range. After this, the tour will
take you to the modern part of Santiago, including its
chic neighborhoods, shopping and financial centers.
Return to the hotel.

Day 8: Santiago
– Calama – San Pedro de Atacama (B, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel and transfer to the airport in time to board a
flight to Calama. Reception at Calama airport
and transfer to the village of San Pedro de Atacama
through the Domekyo mountain range and the Salt Mountain
range. In the afternoon, visit the Salt Mountain, Marte
Valley (also called Death Valley) and Moon Valley to
admire the spectacular sunset reflected on this wonderful
landscape – nature’s own light show. Return to the hotel.

Day 9: San Pedro
de Atacama – Tour to Altiplanic lagoons (B, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel. We will start by visiting the Atacama Salt Flat
which is Chiles biggest Salt Flat and among one of the
largest in the world. Here we will find laguna Chaxa
where three different species of flamingoes live and
breed. We will also have the chance of visiting the
picturesque village of Toconao where the most important
attraction is the Bell Tower constructed in the classical
atacamenian way. After this we will visit the village
of Socaire and the altiplanic lagoons of Meñique
and Miscanti located at 4.500 meters above sea level
(14.850 feet above sea level). This area is a part of
the “Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos” (Flamingos National
Reserve). These lagoons are surrounded by impressive
volcanoes that were formed when the Andes Mountain Range
rose from the sea through millions of years of evolution.

Day 10: San Pedro
de Atacama – Tour to Geysers del Tatio (B, D)
Early departure
from the hotel (4.00 AM) to the Geysers del Tatio. Breakfast
box in the Geysers before a gentle guided walk around
the geothermal field with observation of the natural
phenomenon of the steam columns which are viewed at
their best as the sun rises over the Andes Mountains.
Return to San Pedro with spectacular views of the Torcopuri
y Sairecabur volcanoes. On returning to San Pedro, the
rest of the day is at leisure. We suggest visiting the
market in San Pedro.

Day 11: San Pedro
de Atacama – Calama – Santiago – Puerto Montt – Puerto
Varas (B, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel. Transfer to the airport of Calama to board the
flight to Santiago with connection to Puerto Montt.
Upon arrival to Puerto Montt, reception and transfer
to the hotel in Puerto Varas.
Day 12: Puerto
Varas – Puerto Montt – Frutillar – Petrohue – Puerto
Varas (B, L)
Breakfast in the
hotel. Departure from the hotel to visit the towns of
Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt. First visit Puerto Varas
which streets and avenues are adorned with rose bushes
and the Philippi Hill with wonderful views of Lake Llanquihue
and the Osorno Volcano. Continue to Puerto Montt and
the fishermen village of Angelmó with its wonderful
selection of arts and crafts and then back to Puerto
Varas. In the afternoon visit Frutillar, on the way
admiring the majestic Osorno Volcano and Llanquihue
Lake. The tour includes a visit to upper and lower Frutillar
and its church. Continue the visit to the Petrohue River
(lunch included). We continue to the small port
of Petrohue on the shores of All Saint’s Lake. In the
afternoon return to Puerto Varas.

Day 13: Puerto
Varas – Quemchi – Aucar – Colo – Tenaun – Castro – Puerto
Varas (B, D)
Departure from Puerto
Varas southwards towards Chiloe Island. This day we
will cover around 450 kilometres (281 miles)
In the community
of Pargua we will embark a ferry that will cross the
Chacao channel in a 45 minute ride. We will disembark
in Chacao where we will see the first signs of the classic
island architecture called “chilota”.
We will visit the
village of Quemchi and the area of Aucar where the main
highlight is its pedestrian bridge of almost 560 meters
long (1700 feet) built in wood that connects this area
with a picturesque cemetery located in a small island.
We will continue
to Colo where we will visit the most traditional church
of the island. All the churches in Chiloe Island have
been declared “World Heritage” and they were all constructed
as from the XVI century.
In all the different
small villages that will be visited, the local classic
architecture will be seen with its typical wooden roofs
made out of local vegetation.
The circuit includes
also the city of Castro, where the most interesting
aspect is their typical houses constructed on plots
over the sea called “palafitos” and the city’s traditional
craft market where the woollen products are among their
most popular. By the end of the afternoon, return to
Puerto Varas.

Day 14: Puerto
Varas – Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales (B, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel before departing to the airport of Puerto Montt
to board the flight to Punta Arenas. In Punta Arenas,
reception at the airport and transfer to the bus station
for a regular bus to Puerto Natales. Reception at Puerto
Natales bus station and transfer to the hotel.

Day 15: Puerto
Natales – Balmaceda & Serrano Glaciers – Puerto
Natales (B, L, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel. Full day excursion with lunch included. Early
in the morning sail from Puerto Natales visiting the
beautiful Ultima Esperanza Fjord and after a 3-hour
navigation arrival to the thousand-year-old glacier
of Mount Balmaceda, habitat of cormorants and sea lions.
At the end of the fjord disembark and walk approximately
1 kilometer (3/4 mile) on a path through the middle
of a wonderful native forest to the foot of the Glacier
Serrano and from there, admire this huge natural wonder.
Then on the way back we will stop in Estancia Perales
for a typical lunch before returning to Puerto Natales
in the afternoon.

Day 16: Puerto
Natales – Torres del Paine – Puerto Natales (B, L, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel. Full day excursion with lunch included, visiting
Torres del Paine National Park. Departure from Puerto
Natales. The journey continues through steppes and Patagonia
scrub, full of abundant wild life and herds of sheep,
up to Torres del Paine National Park, declared world
heritage by UNESCO. In the park, a large variety of
native fauna especially large herds of guanacos can
be observed. Visit the Salto Grande of the Pehoe River,
with the impressive mountain massif of Torres del Paine
in the background. Then visit to Lake Pehoe, Lake Grey,
from where you will see the Grey Glacier in the distance.
Return to Puerto Natales in the evening.
Day 17: Puerto
Natales – Punta Arenas – Santiago (B, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel. Transfer to the bus station to board a regular
service bus that goes to Punta Arenas airport to board
the flight to Santiago. In Santiago reception at the
airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 18: Santiago
(B, D)
Breakfast in the
hotel. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport
to board your flight to your next destination
