13th, 2010: The permits for the Inca
Trail are almost sold out for June already.
If you want to hike the Inca Trail to
Machu Picchu in July or August you better
book soon! Remember that we offer the
Inca Trail for only USD395.00 per person!
April
1st, 2010: The trains to Machu picchu
are now running again. It is a temporarily
service though called Autowagon that
departs from Piscacucho instead of the
normal Cuzco and Ollantaytambo.
March 9th, 2010: The Inca Trail is planned to open again on April 1st if everything goes as planned and the weather doesn´t get worse again.
January 21st,
2010: Floodings in Cuzco! Due to
intensive raining during the last few
days there has been widespread floodings
in the Cuzco area and the train between
Cuzco and Machu Picchu has been suspended.
Around 400-500 tourists are stranded
in Aguas Calientes waiting for a helicopter
to bring them back to Cuzco. It is still
uncertain when the trains can open again.
