We at Tailor Made Peru firmly believe in the importance of Sustainable Tourism. We want to contribute to raising the standard of living of the local communities in the areas where we work and to improve the local environmental conservation. Ever since we started we have involved the local communities and worked with them as suppliers of goods and services and we are working hard to minimize our ecological footprints and instead contribute to creating a more sustainable society.

Here is our Sustainable Tourism Policy:

We donate 1% of our profit to local development projects and we challenge all our competitors and partners in the industry to do the same.
We have set up a goal that by the end of 2010 Tailor Made Peru will be a carbon dioxide neutral company. Again, we hope that this is something that more companies will adopt in the future.  
We always choose locally run companies to provide us with goods and services if possible. If we have two equal options we will always choose the local company in favor of the foreign one. By doing this we hope to contribute to a higher standard of living for these people.
We have a zero litter policy.
We promote responsible use of tourist attractions and the surrounding natural resources to avoid the destruction of the environment and to avoid doing harm to local communities and their lifestyle.
We continuously train our staff in the principles and practices of sustainable tourism.  
We aim to improve the environmental conservation in the areas where we work.
We integrate environmental considerations into all our strategic decisions.

This being said, we also expect certain things from you as our client. We expect you to respect the local communities that you visit and their way of life and that you do not litter or in any other way do harm to the local environment.
